During an appearance on the London 90 podcast, Bella Shmurda expressed his disappointment in the negative comments about Afrobeats. He emphasized the importance of respecting the genre and not downgrading it.

Standing Up for Afrobeats

Bella Shmurda shared his thoughts on the issue, stating, “We artistes should respect Afrobeats. This is our genre, we can’t downgrade it. No matter your level in the music industry, you can’t downgrade this thing that God has given us.” He highlighted the need for unity and appreciation for the music that has brought Nigerian artists international recognition.
